Hi everyone! It’s time to begin sharing My Favorite Things‘ February previews! Today we are showcasing Lisa Johnson’s adorable new sets, Embellished Eggs and Spring Backgrounds.
Here I used Embellished Eggs stamp set along with Lisa’s coordinating Easter Elements Die-namics. How about that little bird? Eek! SO darn cute!
I hung the eggs from Branch with Leaves die-cut from Kraft cardstock. To add dimension, I placed thin foam strips beneath the branch ends. The right side of the branch, cut even with the card edge, is glued down flat to the paper. I stamped the eggs in new Sour Apple and Pink Lemonade inks. The “happy Easter” was stamped in Kraft ink and the little bird, die-cut from Pink Lemonade cardstock has a wing popped up on a small piece of foam tape.
On the inside, I stamped a few small eggs using Pink Lemonade and Sour Apple inks along with a little Pink Lemonade bird (with Kraft feet).
Because I couldn’t get enough of those ADORABLE birds, I created a second card featuring a little quartet. :)
The birds were die-cut from Banana Split, Sour Apple and Pink Lemonade cardstock with the last bird coming from a random piece of coordinating paper I had in a “miscellaneous” file. Again, I popped up the little wings using foam tape. (I just ♥ them.)
On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the set (in Kraft ink) and two little birdies in Pink Lemonade and Sour Apple.
