Count Your Blessings

Hi there!  It’s sketch time once again with My Favorite Things.  This week I’ve used Pure Innocence Cornucopia.

After stamping the girl onto X-Press It Blending Card, I colored with Copics, cut her out and adhered her to the patterned block.  The vertical strip is from Blueprints 2 and the little hearts are from my favorite Blueprints so far, No. 8.  To lighten the color of the hearts just a bit, I lightly sponged over each one with Whip Cream ink.

Copic tip:  Use your grays to help create “just the right shade” of color.  Here, BG10 (for the girl’s sweater and bow) was a little bright for the warmer blue/green of my patterned paper.  To get a closer match, I colored over these areas with W00 and a bit of W1.

Inside, I stamped the girl (with a paper-pieced bow) along with a sentiment from PI Turkey Time, both using Black Licorice ink.

Here’s this week’s sketch if you’d like to play along.  You can find all the details, including how you can win up to $20 in MFT cash, HERE on the MFT blog.

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends!  As usual, thanks SO MUCH for visiting!
