Hi everyone! Between working on new release samples (for both teams), getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas, having a sick child, a husband working 24/7 and dealing with excruciating lower back pain, I haven’t had much of a chance to post. But things are calming a bit so I thought I’d pop in to share another card using Paper Smooches SUPER cute Cool Dudes stamp set.
I just love this little snow couple. 🙂 They were stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card with MFT’s Black Licorice hybrid ink then colored with Copic markers. I paper pieced little bits to add just a small amount of pattern detail. (I think it makes a big difference.)
The scalloped border was created using the scallop edge die from MFT’s Blueprints 3. After die-cutting I used a hole punch to dot the scallops.
The background (snow) was created using the negative circles from MFT’s Pegboard Cover Up. I used Glossy Accents and a QuickStick to easily place and adhere the dots exactly where I wanted them. QuickStick is a MUST HAVE paper crafting tool, in my opinion. I use it ALL the time.
Back I go to my million other things I have to do this weekend. Check back this week for MFT’s Creative Challenge, MFT December previews, a Craftsy post and Paper Smooches December release blog hop. WHEW!
By the way, if you do not like getting email notifications of my posts (I know some weeks there are a lot), you can follow my Paper Cuts page on Facebook, Bloglovin (links on my right side bar) or even Instagram. My name there is SHEL9999.
Thanks for stopping by!
